I've missed joining in on Garden Blogger's Bloom Day for the past few months.
Unfortunately, not much is blooming in my garden in November!
But I did find a few stragglers:
This unknown shrub rose keeps putting out blooms and I even found a few buds still on it!
The alyssum has sent out volunteers all over the garden and the blooms just keep on coming. This one alas, was deep in the corner where I found a salamander lurking last month. Eeek.
I'll probably never be able to go in that corner again. :)
I transplanted the maiden grass during one of my compulsive transplanting sessions, so its "blooms" are not as big as usual, but it's still nice to see them waving in the chilly fall breeze.
What's blooming in your November garden?
Love the Rose and the Alyssum!
ReplyDeleteHappy GBBD :)
Hanni, how sweet to have that alyssum still blooming. Your garden looks much like mine although I think mine is a bit further ahead in its decline...Happy GBBD!!
ReplyDeleteAlyssum makes me think of my mother. So nice that you are mothering your little ones in the garden. Maybe Alyssum will remind them of you one day, when they are grandparents too, like me!
ReplyDeleteMy rose is still stuttering away throwing out buds, even though it is already covered in hips. Strange but rather lovely. Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeleteMy roses are still going strong too. I think they look better now than in the spring. Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeleteLove the alyssum! Such a sweet little plant. How wonderful that it has volunteered all over your garden, and that it's still blooming for you!
ReplyDeleteHow nice that there are still blooms in your November garden! I'm sure that salamander appreciates the volunteering alyssum :)
ReplyDeleteRoses and alyssum seem to be the soup de jour this bloom day. Many of the roses I've seen were freeze dried, like mine. Alyssum is my new old favorite.
ReplyDeleteI hope you take time to smell your rosey :) The big let-down with the one on my Hill is that it does not smell! Luckily there is an old rose by the back door to sniff, but not so much now.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the maiden grass and really should find somewhere for it to live at my house too!
So glad you made it for Bloom Day! Don't feel bad...I'm also addicted to transplanting things...especially in autumn, since I have a better idea of how big things REALLY get ;-)
